I GOT TO WORK WITH WAKKO!!!!!!

Yesterday I got to go to a recording studio up in LA to direct our voice talent for the iPhone app I am working on. And the voice we are using for the app is done by none other than Jess Harnell!!! who is also Wakko Warner on Animaniacs!!!!! That's right.... I got to work with and direct WAKKO!!! We had a great time in the studio, Jess is really one of the funniest guys ever. Here are some pics (not very good ones.... I was busy)

Moving....New and Old So Far :)

Katie and I are moving to a new apartment, in a new city!! We are moving to Oceanside to be closer to Katie's work. We have two weeks to move but Katie is amped and has me making daily trips to Oceanside to drop off truckloads. We have only had the keys to the new place for 48 hours and we are already 40% moved. I need a break....

Best City Ever!!

O.K here is another quick one for today..... I have to say I have been taking pictures but I get busy or Katie makes me do stuff or Katie makes me go out to dinner and stuff or Katie wont let me use my computer or........ I just get lazy and forget to post them (guess which one of those is the truth??) Any Hoo. Tonight Katie and I went for a bike ride and dinner with my parents in Coronado. After dinner we walked around a bit and looked at some of the shops. It was a very fun and relaxing evening :) Here is a pic of the view from where we had dinner. This is why people come here to vacation and San Diego is the best city ever!! I love living here.

The 4Th of July

O.K O.K O.K!! I'll update already! Here's a pic from this years 4th of July. (I know it's the 10th but shutuppayourface). This year Katie and I spent the 4th with her family in Downey. I love celebrating the 4th in Downey because they let you buy fireworks in Downey!! and the family, food, drinking and fun is an all out good time! you'll have to come along one year to experience it for yourself.

Katie and I went out yesterday and got our rings :) .... Well my ring and her wedding ring, she already has her engagement ring.... so 2K later this is what I got to show for it :)

I LOVE MY JOB!!!

This pic is actually not from today, it's from a concert I went to in 2002. but I had to chose it for todays pic.... Let me explain... I chose this pic for 2 reasons.

1. you can't tell but in it I am waring a Animaniacs hat. The Animaniacs have loooooonnnngggg been my favorite cartoon. the best ever if you ask me. And today I was on the phone with Rob Paulsen who did the voice for Yakko, Pinky and Dr. Scratchansniff from the cartoon. As I write this I can see the Animaniacs production cell I own hanging on my wall with his autograph on it. (I got the cell and autograph 14 years ago). I GOT TO TALK WITH YAKKO!!! and better yet I may get to work with him on the game I'm producing. Like I said, I love my job. I also talked with the guy who does the voice of Johnny Bravo and that was pretty cool too.

2. The band that is playing (I won't tell you the name I don't want to jinx it but you may be able to figure it out) is one of my all time favorite bands (definitely in the top 3) And next Friday I get to pitch the idea of using them to do theme music for the game I'm working on. I got to talk with their manager today and if I can convince the big wigs to use original music in the game the band is interested!!!!

I can't say it enough I LOVE MY JOB!!!!

I got a new job producing iPhone apps :) but I had to get a mac for the dev software so my company got me one. now against my will there is a mac in my house. I just hope my PC doesn't see it :)

I've been sick that's why I lag

So it's been a while since my last post (I know it's supposed to be every day) I'll get better. but here is some of what I've been up to.

I went to Sacramento for my friends tom and Mel's baby shower. We had a great time hanging out and it was good to see Tom and Mel. I don't get to see them much as they live WAY up in Portland. so here is some pics from last weekend.

Thank God there is a picture

While I will not be attending (thank God!!) the upcoming Twilight party (Pete get your liver ready). It is being held at my house so being the good hubby that I am, I spent the day cleaning the apartment. I hope all you gals appreciate my hard work. I took a picture because my apartment is only this clean about twice a year! now to get as far away as possible.

I went in to my bathroom this mourning and was selecting a book to read (as I did my thing…like ya do) and looking at my bathroom book selection I thought, well I guess that sums me up right about there. On top of a biography of Tom Waits and Sandwiched between “The selected letters of Allen Ginsberg and Gary Snyder” and “The letters of William S. Burroughs” is “It’s hard out here for a shrimp” By Pepe the King Prawn.

All good books and each filled with it’s own wisdom. I recommend them all

Took the Townie out to Miramar Lake. For some reason I thought it was a 6 mile ride around the lake but it turns out to be only 5. Ah Well, still a good ride :)

Out for a Walk

So I decided to start getting out of the house and doing some active stuff everyday. Today I went for a 3 mile walk and checked up on some of my caches. This is a shot from my "birds in the park" cache. OkBye :)

You're so money and you don't even know it

O.k - O.k so I've missed a few days Geeshh calm down, I have a good excuse. I haven't been near a computer for a few days. I've been in VEGAS BABY VEGAS!!!

Katie and I spent a few days in Vegas for her cousin's wedding. Rob and Jen got married, everyone else spent 4 days drinking, gambling, and drunk visiting with the family. It was a grand old time!! Now for some pictures.

This is how the trip started. This is in the San Diego Airport waiting to board the plane. That is Whiskey!!! I ordered a drink and this is what they brought. A giant pint of whiskey!!! (This was going to be a good trip)



First night in Vegas we walked up and down the strip a few times and I got blisters... Guess I'll have to drink more to dull the pain :)

And finally we made it to Fat Tuesdays!! When in Vegas you MUST stop by Fat Tuesdays. It's in the MGM on the way to the monorail. Get the 190 Octane (trust me on this) It's the only drink you will need for the whole night - 6 shots of grain alcohol in a tasty orange slurpee and for 50 cents more they'll add another shot!!

Weekend in Monterey

Mom, Dad, Katie and I spent the weekend up in Monterey. We had a great time biking and caching. We got to go to Bubba Gumps (Dippin Broth BABY!!!)

There are always shopping carts left around my apartment??? I never see how they get there, but there they are. It's like I live in some kinda shopping cart vortex. People are weird.

My friend Jo Jo in San Francisco sent me a copy of the newspaper from up there. The front page had a story commemorating the 50th anniversary of the day the poem "Howl" by Allen Ginsberg was found to not be obscene by the California supreme court. The funny thing is, public radio stations wanted to air a reading of the poem for the anniversary, but were told they would be fined by the FCC if they did. I guess not much has changed in the last 50 years.

Empty Trashcan Full Recycling

As you may or may not know, I am one of the few people left on this planet that is opposed to recycling. You can ask me why and I’ll give you my reasons but there is some good and easy info you can look up with Itunes that will fill you in on some of the facts on why recycling is not a good idea. I suggest the podcast Skeptoid episode #128 or Penn and Tellers show “bullshit” Season 2 episode 5. but all the scientific reasons aside… This is another reason I don’t like recycling. (Comment away) :)

Happy valentines day

Because we are so romantic... for valentines day Katie and I went to the Big Kitchen for breakfast with Carla, Pete and John. John gave Katie and I a valentine :)






Then we walked around Balboa park. It was a nice sunny day for once (it's been raining a lot lately). While walking around the park we ran into Jeff, Stacy, Jacob, and Sara who had the same Idea to come to Balboa park for V-Day. (great minds think alike)





While hanging around the fountain some cops on horseback showed up and let us touch the horses. (well how ya doin officer.. that's a mighty big stick you have there)

Feb 13th Cache Cave

This pic was actually taken a few weeks ago but I forgot to post it and I don't have a pic for today so I'm putting it up now :) Inside that urban cave about 1/4 mile in is a cache i planted. My dad was the first person to find it and as he was leaving he took this pic for me of another cacher coming out. to got the cache you have to walk down the cave which goes all the way under the 15 freeway :) It's a fun one!!

Feb 12 Cold Cold Cold

It officially cold. which means that I get to use my favorite jacket!! I got this jacket in Galway Ireland (at a JC Pennies) and it has a USA patch on the inside??? :) It's a cool jacket but it zips up on the wrong side so it takes a bit of work to zip it up :)

Biking and Biting Feb 10th

Took my new bike out for a spin. Katie and I rode to lunch. Keeping with the eating less, being more active routine she's got me on. My new bike rocks!! it's a townie. Kinda like a mountain bike and a cruiser made sweet sweet love. :)

Caching with Caleb

Went out with my dad and Caleb to do a little caching while the girls went shopping and to the movies. We found 2 caches before the rain started to really come down and we had to call it quits. On the way home I planted a cache near Katie's cousin Lisa's new house :) so the day wasn't a total bust and Caleb and I had fun walking in some mud while I was looking for a place to put my cache. Here is a pic of the storm that we were about to run into on the drive home.

Taste Testing Feb 5th

Katie and I took our parents to ground zero for our wedding to do a little taste testing so we could pick out our menu. So everybody got to eat a lot and be food critics, It was a lot of fun! We also picked out our photographer! that's one more thing down. :)

Went with the fam to one of Katie's and mine favorite place to have breakfast, The Big Kitchen in south park just across from the Zoo. Then it was over for some fun at the Zoo. NOW THAT'S A BIG HAND :)
